Up from the village square of Arico el Nuevo with its 17th century church, past wooden gates hiding Spanish style courtyards, you arrive at the finca of El Sitio de la Casa. There are five ‘cottages’ dotted around the grounds; one occupied by the owners, Tere and José Carlos; La Casita with two bedrooms which shares its pool with ‘El Granero” an old grain store converted to a large studio and the two one bedroom cottages La Buganvilla and Los Naranjos each with their own plunge pools. The emphasis here is on beauty, peace and privacy - each unit has its own garden space as well as having access to the finca in general with its meditation area and barbecue. The nearest restaurant is a short drive away in Arico Viejo and Tere will prepare dinner for guests if requested. Arico el Nuevo is situated on Tenerife’s east coast at 500 metres above sea level. It is about 35 minutes drive from the south airport, 15 minutes to the nearest beach at Poris de Abona and about half an hour to the better El Médano beach.
