Las Tres Palmeras not only has its own lovely swimming pool but is also just one minute’s walk from one of the best beaches in La Gomera and within walking distance of two others. It is therefore a great place to stay for a lazy holiday lapping up the warm summer or winter sun, swimming or working on your suntan while enjoying a good book. With a wide choice of restaurants both nearby and further up the valley as well as bars, a disco (not too close!) and a variety of different shops, many people see no need to leave Valle Gran Rey at all during their holiday.
A thoughtfully designed complex of seventy apartments built on only two floors, nearly all the apartments look over the well kept gardens and swimming pool and some also have a sea view. Despite the number of apartments there is an air of peace and quiet here and the layout of the complex allows privacy as no balcony or terrace directly overlooks another. All the apartments have one bedroom with twin beds and built-in safety deposit box, bathroom with bath and shower attachment. The spacious open plan living area has a sofa which converts into two single beds for children, dining area and kitchenette. There are french doors on to the generous sized balcony (first floor) or terrace (ground floor) and many apartments also have a second balcony or terrace off the bedroom looking out from the complex. Around the pool there are sun loungers, parasols and showers and the pool itself has a walled-off children’s area at the shallow end. The deep end is 2.3 metres.
At reception in the entrance hall boat trips and other activities can be booked. TVs are not provided in the apartments. The apartments are cleaned five days a week. Being so centrally located, a car is not necessary unless you wish to explore other parts of La Gomera. Parking is on the street outside the apartments and it is 90 minute drive to the San Sebastian ferry port or 5 minutes to the port at Vueltas where the catamaran “Garajonay Expres” (not currently running) docks.
