Reached by car up a steep drive, visitors have the run of the whole 700 square metres of La Vega Redonda finca sprinkled with fig and almond trees on its grassy terraces. There are wonderful open views west across to the island of El Hierro. Being 900 metres up it can be quite chilly especially when cloudy in winter but the houses have double glazed windows and wood burning stoves. They are furnished to a high standard without losing sight of their rustic environment. .
There are three houses on the finca, Casa Maria, Casa Juana and Casa Carmen. They all have two double bedrooms with twin beds, luxury bathrooms, fitted kitchens with ovens and attractive sitting-dining areas. From the door you can walk to the national park and beyond, or to the abandoned villages west of Alajeró. Alajeró itself has three restaurants and a small supermarket. Playa de Santiago, the beach and other amenities are a 20 minute drive away. San Sebastian and the main ferry port is 50 minutes away by car
