This well known 4 star hotel is almost a self contained village. It has been designed this way on a site of 50,000 square metres built on a cliff top with chalet style 2 storey buildings scattered amongst the impressive gardens together with other communal areas. There are 3 swimming pool areas, one of which is on the beach at the hotel's Club Laurel accessed directly by an amazing lift which descends through the cliff. The Club also two restaurants and a bar.
There are 434 rooms and family suites. Rooms can be standard, comfort or superior category. All have balcony or terrace, luxury bathroom, satellite TV and minibar. Depending on the category rooms have views of the gardens or the sea. There are several restaurants and bars around the hotel and most evenings there is cabaret entertainment. There is a small shopping area, a gym, tennis courts and the adjoining Tecina Golf 18 hole golf course. In addition guests can use the jogging routes, play table tennis or just relax by one of the pools.
In fact the Hotel Tecina has so much to offer that many guests hardly leave the hotel at all during their stay. But of course there are still the wonders of La Gomera to explore, which can be done by booking a tour at Reception or hiring a car for a few days. Dolphin and whale watching excursions can also be booked and there is a scuba diving centre at the Club Laurel. The fishing port of Playa Santiago is a short walk along from the Club Laurel and it is a 30 minute drive to the main port of San Sebastian.
