One of the few good beaches on the south coast which has not become a package tour resort and being blessed with the longest stretch of natural sandy beach in Tenerife it is a good location for a holiday. It is a great wind surfing centre due to apparently near perfect conditions for the sport (it is often windy). Originally a fishing village, it retains several good fish restaurants near the bustling square which gives on the beach. On Saturdays it has a craft market.
