Situated above the east coast at about 500m above sea level, the village has a dry sunny climate with cool breezes especially in winter. Time seems to have stood still leaving the three peaceful villages of Arico to themselves where one can enjoy the impressive panoramas of dry mountainous landscapes with hardly a house in sight. But it is only 4 km from the motorway so it is easy to get around the island from here and just 6km to the nearest beach in Poris de Abona. Punta de Abona 2 km further has a sandy beach.
